Pint of Beer

Helensburgh and Lomond Real Ale Festival 2008

Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May

3.00pm until 9.00pm on both days

"This small festival has grown and now spreads over two days of live music and lots of real ales. It's becoming one of the top drinking events of the Scottish calendar (and there are plenty of them)."

Ferne Arfin, About.com

It's almost time again...

This year we have forty of the finest Scottish ales from seven breweries - Atlas Brewery, Black Isle Brewery, Cairngorm Brewing Co., Fyfe Brewing Co., Fyne Ales, Hareviestoun Brewery, Houston Brewing Co., Kelburn Brewing Co, and Williams Brewing Co.There will be twenty ales available on Saturday and twenty on Sunday and there will also be wine and cider and sumptious food provided, once again, by the Buffet Shop of Helensburgh.

Music wise we will be showcasing the best of our local musical talent with eighteen acts spread over the two days, including nine on our new accoustic stage in a smaller, more intimate, hall within the venue, which will complement the exciting bands lined up for the main stage, and allow a quieter spot for those who like some relative peace to contemplate their ales.As for the main stage, you will be spoilt for choice, with acts including Harmonica Lewinsky, The Calderas, Cortez and Rocketfox ready to help you party the weekend away.

Entry has remained the same as last year..£5.00 (£4.00 CAMRA) payable at the door, and includes a commemorative glass. There will also be Helensburgh and Lomond Real Ale Festival 2008 polo shirts for sale which are sure to become collectors items (if you'd like to pre-order one then get in touch via the e-mail address below!).

All in all, it's going to be one ale of a weekend!
